- The Green Village of Bali is an evocative complex of houses made entirely of bamboo by the architect Ibuku.
- Another surprising work in bamboo is the Vietnamese pavilion designed for Expo 2015 by Vo Trong Nghia Architects, organized on two floors and consisting of a parallelepiped of approximately 28 x 11 meters.
- One of the largest bamboo plantations in Italy is a monumental green labyrinth created by the publisher Franco Maria Ricci in Fontanellato (Parma).
- Bamboo is able to grow very quickly, even reaching 10 cm per day. The record for growth was achieved in Japan, where a sample exceeded one meter in height in a single day.
- On the contrary, its flowering is very slow, just think that some species of bamboo bloom after 100 years.
